Accessibility Statement

SouthTown Watersports is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to browse our boats, explore our services, and find our locations with ease, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

Our commitment

We are working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor impairments. Following them also makes the website easier to use for everyone.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. We are aware of these areas and are actively working to resolve them.

What we have done

To improve accessibility across the site, we have, among other things:

  • Added descriptive alternative text to images so that people using screen readers understand what each image shows.
  • Given clear, descriptive names to links, buttons, and form controls.
  • Used a logical heading structure and meaningful page titles.
  • Tested the site with recognized automated accessibility tools and addressed the issues we found.

We review accessibility on an ongoing basis as we add and update content.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. We are actively working on the following:

  • Color contrast on a small number of buttons and controls is being improved.
  • Some features provided by third parties may not be fully accessible. We are working with those providers, or replacing the features, where we can.
