Our main workshop
Charlotte is where our main service department is based, so the heavier jobs such as engine alignment are handled in house. Every SouthTown technician is factory trained, at all three of our locations.
We come to your dock
Wherever you keep the boat, we can carry out the routine work at your dock rather than you towing it in.
Questions about the packages
What is included in the Basic Package?
The Basic Package costs $1,595 against an approximate value of $2,550, and includes two oil changes, V-drive fluid, transmission fluid, engine winterization, ballast winterization, de-winterization, a raw water impeller, and free dock-side service.
What is included in the Gold Package?
The Gold Package costs $2,955 against an approximate value of $4,150. It includes everything in the Basic Package, a third oil change, plus engine alignment and ballast impellers.
What is the difference between the Basic and Gold Packages?
The Gold Package adds engine alignment and ballast impellers, and includes three oil changes instead of two. Everything else is the same.
Which engines are covered?
These packages cover all Indmar, PCM and Ilmor engines, and the price is the same for every engine. There is no surcharge for a particular engine option.
How far does the free dock-side service reach?
Free dock-side service is included with both packages throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and lower Virginia. That is the whole coverage area, not just the lakes closest to us, and it is included at no extra cost.
Does the price go up later in the season?
No. Paying up front fixes the price for everything in your package. If labor or parts pricing rises later in the season, it does not apply to the work you have already paid for.

Winterizing Your Boat

Do I need the oil change if I barely used my boat this year?
Yes, in most cases. Fresh fluids in the fall carry moisture and suspended contaminants out of the engine before the boat sits for months, so the oil does its job while it still flows freely. That is why we recommend the option with fluids even after a low-hour season.
Is de-winterization included?
No. Spring de-winterization is a separate service at a lower cost, and it is usually paired with the impeller replacement when the boat comes back out.
